Pastel Garden Furniture
What you'll need:
Here's everything you'll need to get it right the first time.
  • Metal garden furniture set
  • Coarse sandpaper
  • Newspaper
  • White Primer
  • Satin Porcelain
  • Satin Cameo Pink
  • Satin Pistachio
  • Satin Urban Beige

If you've had your metal garden furniture for a few years, chances are that it's starting to look scuffed and tired. It's easy to update and protect it with a little primer and paint, and you can vary the colours you use to tie in elegantly with the rest of the decoration in your garden.

Tip: Using a palette of pastel colours creates a fresh, pretty impact.

Project Steps

  • Wash your table and chairs down thoroughly with hot, soapy water to remove any dirt and grease. Rinse well with clean water and dry.
  • Spread newspaper out in a well-ventilated working area.
  • Rub down with coarse sandpaper to remove any flakes of paint or rust.
  • Spray any bare metal with White Primer and allow to dry.
  • Choose a range of Satin Premium Enamel colours to create your look. We have used Porcelain, Pistachio, Cameo Pink and Urban Beige. Be sure to spray from a variety of angles to make sure you get complete coverage.

Note: Always follow usage instructions on the reverse of Valspar spray paint cans.
